In 2007, Jim Richards and his wife Becky founded APEK Incorporated with one goal in mind: bringing affordable, quality roofing and siding to the neighborhood. With 25 years’ prior experience in the industry, the family-run business took off in New Lenox and grew into a team of salesmen, secretaries, repairmen and construction crews that service the Chicagoland area every day. Each year, the business grows, but one thing never changes — our commitment to quality service.

After working in the roofing and siding industry for 25 years, Jim decided to start his own family-run roofing and siding business in New Lenox. Not only has his business soared, but he’s been able to provide jobs for those in his community. When he’s not running a business, he’s spending time with his family or hitting the gym for a workout.

One of the many reasons Becky is great at helping run a business is that she treats every customer’s home as if it’s her own. Her dedication and pride in her work make her a huge asset to APEK — and our customers. Though she’s often hard at work, she still makes time to raise her kids and travel with her family.
